ZipBaits – Trick Shad 70 SP
The perch wobbler that's in a league of its own
The ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP is 70mm long and weighs 7.8g. However, this small twitchbait is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to perch fishing. Its versatility in retrieval in combination with its special features make it unique. A hardbait that shouldn't be missing from your tackle box.
Its inner workings determine casting distance and the "click" trick
The ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP is equipped with the improved Mag-Drive weight transfer system. Unlike other manufacturers, it doesn't use lead and/or steel balls, but a cylindrical MZ-19 weight made of a titanium alloy. This runs on a rail and slides to the rear part of the body during casting, where it hits an absorbing rubber stopper, providing a catapult-like casting acceleration. As soon as the bait hits the water surface and is brought to depth, the weight slides back to the front part and is fixed there by a neodymium magnet. With gentle or steady retrieval, the weight remains in the front part of the lure, ensuring a perfectly balanced center of gravity. Therefore, the Trick Shad 70 SP is silent when cranked or gently twitched. When cranked, it displays a tight rolling action at a running depth of up to 2.20m. The strike rate here is already astonishing, but the real escalation comes with twitching, its flagship technique. Here, it breaks out to the side with a flanking motion and remains still and seductive on its side profile during pauses. Irresistible to perch in most situations. Here, the ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP reaches a running depth of up to 1.80m. But that's not all. There are days when perch want something snappier, and that's when it's time to jerk the ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP. Led with hard rod strokes, it not only breaks out more wildly, but the weight also dislodges and causes a loud click that drives the perch crazy.
The Kickback Trick – Reverse PLEASE !!!
Cranking, twitching, jerking – as if that weren't enough, the ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP has another ace up its sleeve. There are no limits to the variety of retrieval techniques for this lure.
The absolute trump card of this perfectly balanced twitchbait is the Kickback-Action. For this, you first need to bring the lure to depth and then twitch into the slack line with the rod tip pointing upwards. This makes the bait go in reverse. The best results for the Kickback-Action are achieved after the lure has been suspended in the water column for a while. It does require a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, this kickback trick is another game changer when it comes to picking the really big cherries.
As is typical for ZipBaits lures, the purchase price is, of course, extremely high.
But as the saying goes: "Quality has its price."
And if you want a catching machine, you can't go wrong with the ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP.

Choosing the Right Equipment
4 simple steps to the right choice!
Perfectly identifying the target fish
Consider what types of fish you want to catch (e.g., trout, bass, pike-perch, sea trout, ...).
Choosing a Fishing Rod and Reel
Choose length and strength appropriate to the target fish and fishing method (e.g. UL rod for spoons (active fishing), bottom rod for stationary fishing (passive fishing)).
Adjust Fishing Line and Lure
Use fine braided lines for UL applications or monofilament lines for all-around use. Make sure to use the right lures for the target fish.
Properly add accessories
Think of a suitable landing net, helpful tools (e.g. knife, fish persuader, hook remover,...), clear bait boxes and a functional tackle box to be optimally prepared.
