The ZipBaits Trick Shad 70 SP is equipped with the improved Mag-Drive weight transfer system. Unlike other manufacturers, it doesn't use lead and/or steel balls, but a cylindrical MZ-19 weight made of a titanium alloy. This runs on a rail and slides to the rear part of the body during casting, where it hits an absorbing rubber stopper, providing a catapult-like casting acceleration. As soon as the bait hits the water surface and is brought to depth, the weight slides back to the front part and is fixed there by a neodymium magnet. With gentle or steady retrieval, the weight remains in the front part of the lure, ensuring a perfectly balanced center of gravity. Therefore, the Trick Shad 70 SP is silent when cranked or gently twitched. When cranked, it displays a tight rolling action at a running depth of up to 2.20m.
