Mukai Fishing - Pogo 38 HS !!! Find your Style !!!
The darting bottom vibe "POGO" from the Japanese lure manufacturer Mukai is a versatile trout lure that covers all common bottom fishing methods in the wobbler range, such as "darting", "shaking", "bumping/bouncing", and "lift & fall". This versatility makes this lure an absolute "must-have" in your tackle box and is often the guarantee of success, even under particularly difficult circumstances.
As the name "Bottom" suggests, these lures are fished with direct bottom contact, for example, to stir up sediment. Accordingly, the relatively small and slender minnows are heavy.
Most of the weight is placed below the eyes to make the Pogo shoot headfirst/arrow-like towards the bottom during a retrieve stop. The so-called "bottom bouncing" can be triggered either by short retrieve stops or by quickly raising and lowering the rod tip while reeling in at a constant speed. This is probably the best-known of the 3 retrieval techniques. Furthermore, the clever placement of the weight also ensures that the Mukai Fishing - Pogo 38 HS can be cast particularly well and far.
Another popular retrieval style is "shaking". Here, the lure is reeled in at a constant, even retrieve speed while "shaking" the rod lightly. This allows you to use the lure in mid-water to search for fish.
This lure is simply incredibly versatile, and due to its aggressive darting action, bites often come very unexpectedly and violently.

Perfectly identifying the target fish
Consider what types of fish you want to catch (e.g., trout, bass, pike-perch, sea trout, ...).
Choosing a Fishing Rod and Reel
Choose length and strength appropriate to the target fish and fishing method (e.g. UL rod for spoons (active fishing), bottom rod for stationary fishing (passive fishing)).
Adjust Fishing Line and Lure
Use fine braided lines for UL applications or monofilament lines for all-around use. Make sure to use the right lures for the target fish.
Properly add accessories
Think of a suitable landing net, helpful tools (e.g. knife, fish persuader, hook remover,...), clear bait boxes and a functional tackle box to be optimally prepared.
