MegaBass - Dr. Choro - Small but MIGHTY!!!
The MegaBass - Dr. Choro is one of the smallest soft plastic baits that can be actively fished.
Due to its oval cross-section, the MegaBass - Dr. Choro can be rigged on the hook in 2 different ways. This gives you 2 options for using the bait, making you flexible in its application. Such a feature was previously unheard of in trout fishing.
Thanks to its oval shape, you have the option of rigging the bait crosswise or lengthwise on your hook.
- Option 1: When the bait is rigged crosswise on the hook, the surface area (that cuts through the water) of the bait is increased. This reduces the bait's fall speed and creates more pressure underwater. With this option, you can entice more inactive fish and still get them to bite, as the bait remains in their field of vision for longer. Furthermore, this option allows you to more effectively fish the upper water layers.
- Option 2: When the bait is rigged lengthwise on the hook, the surface area (that cuts through the water) of the bait is reduced. This increases the bait's fall speed and creates less pressure underwater. With this option, you can entice more active fish and get them to bite, as the bait can be fished faster and more actively. Furthermore, this option allows you to more effectively fish the middle to deep water layers.
The MegaBass - Dr. Choro was originally developed for delicate rockfishing for small predators like horse mackerel (Stöcker) and similar species. But what works for small predators in saltwater also yields great success in our beloved hunt for salmonids.

Choosing the Right Equipment
4 simple steps to the right choice!
Perfectly identifying the target fish
Consider what types of fish you want to catch (e.g., trout, bass, pike-perch, sea trout, ...).
Choosing a Fishing Rod and Reel
Choose length and strength appropriate to the target fish and fishing method (e.g. UL rod for spoons (active fishing), bottom rod for stationary fishing (passive fishing)).
Adjust Fishing Line and Lure
Use fine braided lines for UL applications or monofilament lines for all-around use. Make sure to use the right lures for the target fish.
Properly add accessories
Think of a suitable landing net, helpful tools (e.g. knife, fish persuader, hook remover,...), clear bait boxes and a functional tackle box to be optimally prepared.
