The garfish filleting tool is the ideal tool for efficiently deboning garfish. Made of stainless steel, it features a special bend that ensures safe handling.
Tip:
It's best to use garfish that have been stored in the refrigerator for a day or chilled in the freezer for about 40 minutes. This way, the fish can be filleted optimally.
First, remove the head and tail section of the garfish up to the vent. Garfish only have a central bone. Place the fish belly-side down on a firm surface.
Place the filleting tool centrally on the central bone, starting from the head side. Hold the fish firmly with your left hand and move the filleting tool along the central bone with short, jerky movements.
Then, turn the garfish over and remove the central bone. Any remaining small bones can now be easily removed with a filleting knife.

Consider what types of fish you want to catch (e.g., trout, bass, pike-perch, sea trout, ...).
Choosing a Fishing Rod and Reel
Choose length and strength appropriate to the target fish and fishing method (e.g. UL rod for spoons (active fishing), bottom rod for stationary fishing (passive fishing)).
Adjust Fishing Line and Lure
Use fine braided lines for UL applications or monofilament lines for all-around use. Make sure to use the right lures for the target fish.
Properly add accessories
Think of a suitable landing net, helpful tools (e.g. knife, fish persuader, hook remover,...), clear bait boxes and a functional tackle box to be optimally prepared.
