The Maya is the latest lure from the lure manufacturer FishUP.
It is available in 25 different colors, various flavors, and 3 sizes. The lure sizes range from 1.4" to 1.6" and 1.8".
The lure imitates a bumblebee and has been specifically developed for larger "mamas" who appreciate a bigger bite. However, even smaller trout won't shy away from this lure.
The lure is fished with a size 6 or 4 hook. I recommend hook size #4.
The lure is equally suitable for both passive and active fish. The hooking technique is crucial here.

4 simple steps to the right choice!
Perfectly identifying the target fish
Consider what types of fish you want to catch (e.g., trout, bass, pike-perch, sea trout, ...).
Choosing a Fishing Rod and Reel
Choose length and strength appropriate to the target fish and fishing method (e.g. UL rod for spoons (active fishing), bottom rod for stationary fishing (passive fishing)).
Adjust Fishing Line and Lure
Use fine braided lines for UL applications or monofilament lines for all-around use. Make sure to use the right lures for the target fish.
Properly add accessories
Think of a suitable landing net, helpful tools (e.g. knife, fish persuader, hook remover,...), clear bait boxes and a functional tackle box to be optimally prepared.
