Daiichiseiko - Pickers EX
The Daiichiseiko - Pickers EX is a multifunctional gadget that can be used to cut, thread, or tie fishing lines.
Furthermore, it can be used to tie the "Triple Eight Knot" and the "3.5 Knot." Two very reliable knots. (see below)
It includes a storage container for swivels/snaps and No Knots, a retractor system, and a carabiner for attachment.
With its 360° rotating clip, it can be easily attached to a fishing jacket or bag.

● Triple Eight Knot1) Close the tip of the Pickers and guide the Pickers through a ring of about 1 cm formed by overlapping the line and the leader line.2) Open the tip inside the ring and make three turns.3) Then, clamp the line and the leader line together to pass through the ring.4) Slowly tighten the lines, continue to tighten the line and the leader line, and cut off the excess lines. (Moisten the line with saliva when tightening)
● 3.5 Knot1) Guide the tip of the Pickers through a ring formed by overlapping the line and the leader line.2) Pinch the two lines together and pull them out. Repeat step 2) three times. (Easier if the overlapping part is gripped anew each time)3) Extract only the line once more.4) Slowly tighten the lines, continue to tighten the line and the leader line, and cut off the excess lines. (Moisten the line with saliva when tightening)

Consider what types of fish you want to catch (e.g., trout, bass, pike-perch, sea trout, ...).
Choosing a Fishing Rod and Reel
Choose length and strength appropriate to the target fish and fishing method (e.g. UL rod for spoons (active fishing), bottom rod for stationary fishing (passive fishing)).
Adjust Fishing Line and Lure
Use fine braided lines for UL applications or monofilament lines for all-around use. Make sure to use the right lures for the target fish.
Properly add accessories
Think of a suitable landing net, helpful tools (e.g. knife, fish persuader, hook remover,...), clear bait boxes and a functional tackle box to be optimally prepared.
